Clinton speaks night before the VP nominee
Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the featured speaker the second night of the Democratic National Convention in Denver later this month and will be followed by Barack Obama’s vice presidential nominee the next evening.
The Democratic National Convention Committee confirmed the schedule of featured speakers earlier today.
The announcement squashes any last hope Clinton most die hard supporters that she might be selected as Obama’s running mate.
Michelle Obama will be the featured speaker the first night of the convention—Monday, Aug. 25—followed by Clinton on Aug. 26 and the vice presidential nominee Aug. 27.
The speeches the first three evenings will be at Pepsi Center in downtown Denver, but Obama’s acceptance speech on the fourth and final night will be at Invesco Field. The stadium seats more than 75,000.
