And don't forget another Special Interest:

Conservative Ideologues whose special interest is to wreck all government. Everybody who fights for their beliefs are "special interests"...but how about special interest who cares only for their wallet, and they want little or no taxes.

Who cares if the school system fails. Not MY problem. Who cares if we don't maintain public buildings and assets. Not MY problem. WHo care abouy anything for the public use - if I don't benefit, cut the budget.

Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut.

All local School Boards and Suprintendents with the District Offices should be moved into a single County operation. With the highest State standards.

Precisely. It has been proved, yes proved, over and again that more and more money does nothing to make the public education system better, especially in large cities.

No less an authority than the late Democratic U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan expounded on that truism years ago. There are many studies which demonstrate the same thing -- more and more money doesn't matter.

But the special interests want theirs, and to hell with New York State's financial crisis. This public education fraud should have been rectified years ago, but the politicians are owned by the special interests, including the big teachers unions. And that means the taxpayers lose.
