Assem Dems assembling in Manhattan

The Legislature is supposed to decide the fate of Gov. Paterson’s budget-cutting plans next Tuesday, but their fate could be sealed as early as this afternoon.ÂÂ Assembly Democrats are meeting privately in Manhattan to discuss what they should do.
Many majority members have been hostile to cuts in the past, but the state’s deep fiscal problems and the approaching elections could make it a hard call for some of the members.

They should meet at the old Russian Tea House, stop at the Dakota to see where Lennon and Yoko lived, get some tickets to the Moscow Ballet, then go to a Marx Brothers Movie.
