The real vote is today. In any event, Suzi Oppenheimer, would have voted against a tax cap. Knowing that a similar tax cap, Proposition 13, created a disaster in California, the Senate republicans added an opt-out provision. So, instead of real tax relief, they have a gimmick. Our district will still have costs- many unfunded but mandated. What happens when we hit the cap?
