Here’s a clip from Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos’ interview with New York Now host Susan Arbetter about Gov. David Paterson’s efforts to get a tax cap approved by the Legislature.

Skelos seemed to lighten up on Paterson after Senate Republicans were critical that the Democratic governor didn’t do enough to get the tax cap approved during the special legislative session this week.

Skelos said that Paterson reaffirmed his commitment to the cap, but also recognized that the session was more about getting budget cuts.
