Bush Hands Over GOP To McCain
President Bush’s speech last night from afar highlighted McCain’s eagerness to get him off the stage. But the brief, eight-minute speech gave McCain a boost on national security.
He said “I know the hard choices that fall solely to a president. John McCain’s life has prepared him to make those choices. He is ready to lead this nation.”
The speech came as the party is seeking fresh faces, but also recycled some of the old ones.
