Yonkers delegate on Palin speech

Posted by: Brian Tumulty - Posted in 2008, Republican National Convention, Sarah Palin, Yonkers, Yonkers Republicans on Sep 03, 2008

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s speech overwhelmed James Castro-Blanco of Yonkers, a delegate to the Republican National Convention.

“Oh my God. An extraordinary speech,” Castro-Blanco told Gannett News Service reporter Eun Kim on the convention floor. “She hit every point she needed to hit. She proved that she is more than ready to assume her position next to John McCain. She has the same toughness and grit as our presidential candidate. A truly extraordinary speech by an extraordinary woman.”

Castro-Blanco said Palin aptly demonstrated “she has lived a real life.’’

`That, to me, is extraordinarily important. I’m happy to trust my children’s future in John McCain and his vice president,” said the father of two young children.

Obviously this delegate hasn’t LISTENED to many speeches in his life. But then he’s from Yonkers, used to being pandered to.
