No primary

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, D-Ossining, said today she is not running in any primary Sept. 9 although some voters in the 90th Assembly district received a postcard reminding them to show up for a contest for the Working Families line.

Richard Quaglietta of Carmel is the only candidate on that line in the race.

Galef said some voters had complained to her about receiving the postcard and automated calls at their home.

“It says negative things about me. I didn’t send it out,” Galef said. “I don’t want anyone to get up at 6 a.m. to vote in the primary and find out there isn’t one.”

Galef is also the candidate on the Independence line in the Nov. 4 election.

William Gouldman of Putnam Valley is running on the Republican and Conservative lines.
