DiNapoli Gets Into Fundraising Spirit

September
9

Comptroller Tom DiNapoli is having his first fundraiser for his 2010 campaign tomorrow, hosted by Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi and Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy.

It’s called a ““A Long Island Salute to New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.” Tickets range from $150 to $5,000.

DiNapoli has resisted getting into the fundraising game as he solidifies his position as the state’s fiscal watchdog.

But he’s starting to do it now. The event is being held at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Long Island.

“Long Island is my hometown; there’s nowhere else I’d hold my first fundraiser,” DiNapoli said. “From the two county executives to labor and business to my family, friends and neighbors, we’re getting support from all over the Island. It’s going to be a great event and a great way to kick off our 2010 fundraising efforts.”
