Debate challenge

Posted by: Susan Elan - Posted in 19th CD, Congress, Conservative Party, Democratic Party, elections, John Hall, Kieran Lalor, Kieran Michael Lalor on Sep 16, 2008

Kieran Michael Lalor, the Republican candidate for Congress in the 19th District, wants five debates with U.S. Rep. John Hall, D-Dover Plains.

“Five is the number of debates that John Hall challenged his opponent Sue Kelly to during the election of 2006,” said Lalor, who is also running on the Conservative line. “Kelly steadfastly avoided the debates, even providing Hall with the opportunity to debate an empty chair by refusing to take part in the RNN debate with Richard French.”

Lalor said he is also ready to face Hall on the cable comedy talk show The Colbert Report.

“I’d love to go on Colbert with my opponent, even though the liberal show is a home game for him,” Lalor said.

So far, no response from Colbert or Hall on Lalor’s offer.

I supported John Hall’s run for Congress in 2006, played a significant role in seeing him elected. Sadly, from the first night he began to abandon the grassroots that got him to Washington, DC…a perfect example of this was his choice of weasel Darren Rigger taking him to Washington, his selection of a Washington Staff that included NOT ONE PERSON FROM THE GRASSROOTS.

You want to hit John Hall…go after his failed promise to do everything he could to close down Indian Point, and compare it to the fact he takes PAC money from a union very supportive of Indian Point’s continued operation.

You want to get UNDER John Hall’s skin, go after his, and Darren Rigger’s almost RABID SUPPORT of illegal aliens while 600,000 Americans have lost their jobs this year. Not only does John Hall want to vote for Amnesty, he wants to vote in favor of a very liberal Guest Worker Program that has a pathway to citizenship built into it.

You might want to look into what kind of BACK ROOM DEAL was made to bring John Hall the Orange County Hasidic vote in 2006, which was the nail that finally sealed his win against Sue Kelly.
