Golisano’s Responsible New York Endorsements (Updated)

The Tom-Golisano-led Responsible New York has finished its endorsements for the fall elections, announcing Saturday that it has endorsed 75 Assembly candidates.

That’s on top of the 39 Senate candidates it backed last month.

On Monday, it also announced that is backing Senate Democratic candidate Paloma Capanna against powerful Republican incumbent Michael Nozzolio, R-Fayette, Seneca County.

The committee hasn’t said where it is putting its money, but it has already doled out $1.3 million of the $5 million Golisano put into the independent committee.

You can view all its endorsements in the spreadsheet attached here.

Updated: Golisano’s popularity in western New York continues to take a hit in western New York because of Responsible New York, one internal Republican poll shows.

In August, a poll of a western New York Senate district showed Golisano with a 51 percent favorability rating. Yet a poll earlier this month showed Golisano’s support dipped to 41 percent.
