As House Democrats filtered out of a briefing earlier today on the revised details of a $700 billion Wall Street bailout, many appeared to be less than satisfied with the legislation they are being asked to vote on tomorrow, according to Gannett News Service reporter Ellyn Ferguson.
In the meeting, Democrats peppered their party leaders and members of the House Financial Services Committee with questions.
Ferguson approached Rep. John Hall of Dover as he left and asked him if a song came to mind.
“Stir It Up by (reggae master) Bob Marley,’’ suggested the freshman Democrat who made hisÂÂ living for many years as a songwriter and singer.
He then walked away.

That’s a good song. Marley wrote it but it was a pretty big hit for Johnny Nash. It’s on YouTube.
Kieran Lalor would probably suggest some ghaslty song by a Country-Western or Christian Rock band. “It’s all up to Jesus” or some such thing. LOL.
Keep moderates in office, re-elect Congressman John Hall!
– Another Republican for Hall
He then walked away, Renee. By the way, did Hall write “The White Cliffs of Dover?”
thanks for a small tidbit of humor from congressman hall !
