McCain Ad: “What A Week”
Here’s the latest John McCain ad in which he tries to put partisan bickering aside to deal with the economy.
The script, which is read by McCain:
What a week.
Democrats blamed Republicans,
Republicans blamed Democrats.
We’re the United States of America.
It shouldn’t take a crisis to pull us together.
We need a President who can avert crisis.
Put people back to work.
Grow our economy.
And move people from surviving to thriving.
We need leadership without painful new taxes.
That will make our country strong again.
I’m John McCain and I approve this message.

a new cnn battleground poll has McCain behind in florida
tied in missouri and nevada…and virginian..he better
shore up his red states…
I think McCain has a truckload of bullets at his disposal, but he is afraid to fire the gun. Playing too much to the middle, without reason, makes him appear wishy-washy.
Jiminy he is now trapped…the conservative base thinks
any deal is a bad deal..they want him to point fingers
at chris dodd..raines johnson and all the rest responsible
for the irresponsible lending practices…and middle america
still hates the deal..those are his supporters..so if he
votes for it he is screwed and if he votes against it
he looses the middle..this has always been his connundrum
instead of coming out swinging he is letting events
control him…even the other day he flew to dc for what
to let the house stick their collective finger in his eye
His advisors suck…he should have gone on the offensive
early..don’t forget in 2005 he is the one who proposed
regulation of fannie and freddie and Dodd Obama and Frank
insisted on lending practices that bankrupted the financial
system and caused the crisis…now its too late…no one
is listening.he is for the first time loosing the over
50 vote..if he had set out the parameters in the first
debate he would have been able to control the situation
but because of his lack of real knowledge on the economic
meltdown or because his advisors thought he would be too
confrontational he took a pass…now he cannot and will
not recover
I agree, Consultant. And he sure should have gone on the offensive early. He blew it when he had a golden opportunity in the debate. McCain has crept up again in the Gallup daily tracking poll, but he has a lot of work to do in the battleground states. There is still time, but McCain better put some gas in his tank and start putting the pedal to the metal, as the saying goes.
here are the latest battleground polls:
Colorado 50.0 45.0 Obama +5.0
Ohio 48.0 46.0 Obama +2.0
Florida 48.6 45.6 Obama +3.0
Pennsylvania 49.6 42.0 Obama +7.6
Missouri 46.8 48.5 McCain +1.7
Virginia 48.8 46.3 Obama +2.5
these numbers have to turn around and quickly ..if
they deteriorate any further the election will
be a blowout for Obama
