Bill Gouldman, Republican challenger for the 90th Assembly District held by longtime incumbent Sandy Galef, D-Ossing, has put together a new campaign ad slamming Galef’s record.

Gouldman of Putnam Valley, isn’t buying any air time for the ad at the moment. He’s hoping to get attention for it on YouTube and other web outlets. Gouldman has a different campaign ad running on Fox News and Fox Sports.

Gouldman is running a slimy campaign against Assemblywoman Galef, who has served this district admirably for years. She’s always voted with her conscience, and New York State is the better for it. She knows this district and knows how to get things done.

I’m proud to have Sandy Galef as my state assmeblywoman, and I hope that she will continue to be a powerful advocate for change in the legislature.

Advocate for change? What change other than even more capitulation to Silver and the glomming teachers’ union? Change is what we have left in our pockets after paying these ridiculous school taxes, raised exponentially year after year after year, way beyond inflation and beyond our means to fund.

Galef polled her constituents and found that the property tax cap is favorable to residents by more than 3 to 1 yet she supports not bringing the bill to the floor for a vote. WHY THE HECK NOT???

She says, “There isn’t enough support for it.”

So bring it for a vote, let it fail, and let NYers vote all the no voters out of office.

The Circuit Breaker and tying property taxes to income does not stop the outrageous gouging of property taxes currently going on. You need a tax cap to control spending and Galef is not in favor of this.

The circuit Breaker allows government to keep spiking taxes while giving the impresion of relief. It’s a useless gesture…

It is Galef who is running a slimmy campaign. Gouldman has talked about the issues and asking the questions

You can’t really blame her for running a slimmy campaign. Everyone’s trying to lose a few pounds this time of year, before the holidays.

  6. dreamer

Gouldman is another person who has no idea what he is atlking about, he can not shake up Albany because he has no idea what he is doing or what goes on in Albany. Just what we need another republican assemblyman who would have no clout in the democrat lead nys assembly.

  7. voter

How much clot has Mrs. Galef brought to Albany. NOTHING.

  8. SR

    Dreamer,

So the alternative is to keep voting for the same Democrats who do nothing for ax relief and keep spending? If you don’ elect candidates who will challenge the establishment then nothing will change…

  9. Candidates

There does not seem to be a candidates that are truly qualified for the jobs in New York State. They talk and talk about what they want to do but it ends there. Lots of campaign talk to get votes and collect hefty pay checks for working three days a week for six months. All they really do is campaign so they can keep their jobs, retirement and health benefits.

Ben has (somehow) corrected the spelling of slimy. Out of curiosity, how does one change something in one’s finalized post? Anyone? Thanks for any input.
