Ticket to ride

October

Republican Bill Gouldman is running against state Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, D-Ossining. But this morning, Gouldman was campaigning against Democratic Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver for what Gouldman described as the “speaker’s lavish spending at taxpayer expense.”

At the Croton Harmon Train Station, Gouldman charged that records released by State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli show that Silver spends eight times more then he needs to when he travels to Albany by plane.

Gouldman said he was sending Silver an Amtrak roundtrip ticket so that he wouldn’t waste more taxpayer money on air fare.

    Gouldman is right.

In the September 30th edition of THe New York Sun

Is stated that “Mr. SIlver’s travel arrangements are puzzling because he does not appear to be saving any time. It takes about three and a half hours for him to fly to Albany, not including the time it takes to drive back and forth from airports and pass through security. That’s about an hour longer than it takes to drive to the Statehouse in regular traffic conditions, and a half hour longer than using Amtrak. Mr. Silver’s tranportation choice is also not saving any money for the taxpayer. The state reimburses him for the price of the tickets.”

During hard times what is Sheldon Silver doing.

Who’s authorizing all this money to Silver to fly around like a movie star? If he wants to fly to Albany, let him buy himself a broom. Why are the taxpayers funding the jollies of this two-bit stick insect ambulance chaser?

There is no control in Albany we need people who will challenge the system. Gouldman looks like he is that kind of guy.

Doesn’t Patterson himself cost us a ton of cash to supply him with a special apartment in Albany and personal chauffeurs every day?

ALL of them in Albany have a lot of explaining to do. Problem is, no one will ask the questions because each of them would have to plead the Fifth on his own nasty indiscretions. Our Attorney General, for instance, today, in the midst of another holocaust on Wall Street, attacked radio stations for not having enough ethnic DJs. That they continue to effectuate this nonsense points to the fact that they think we’re all stupid. In another twenty years of this, we WILL all be stupid. Were Darwin still around, he would note the regression.

Gouldman is a joke, he is part of the problem, he has promoted this political insider stuff for years as Chairman of the GOP in Putnam Valley. Gouldman is no different then the rest of them.
