its the rule of proportionality…yes its an off year
no question about it and less voters will turn out than
this year but there are over 100,000 more democrats in
westcheseter than republicans..and the independents ie
non party registered voters vote democrat as well
now is Janet could beat tony castro with that deficit
in registration and castro was the nominee of the
democratic party..what on earth makes you think
janet can’t win as a democrat with the 100,000 plus
advantage…first castro will lose a primary
making her look even stronger…the same thing happened
to OBama he ran very well in the caucus states.got
organized early and McCain cannot keep up with his
ground game even in states like north carolina…
plus I am betting that the conservative party may
have something to say about the race…something
different

I disagree, el. Why would the Democrats turn out in droves next year, exactly? To support a turncoat DA and County Exec who has put Westchester County on the map for having the highest property taxes in the United States? Next year is an off election year and the people who turn out to vote will do so because they want change. Schorr has the credentials she lacks after being pushed through by the party she later abandoned, plus he has managed to create a buzz more than one year before the election.

Not to mention, there are many of us in the Democratic party who like a DA that actually puts people in jail.

I like that Fidel has a better chance then Tony. Janet will redeme herself with the negative press she is receiving, Jante is a caring person who trys to do the right thing.

Janet by a land slide, I do not get your math, but I can tell you that Castro is the walking dead. Schorr is trying to troll for support at this time, but when it is all said and done, Janet will win this race easily. Schorr is wasting his time. Next year is also a County Executive race and all the democrats will be out in full force supporting their candidate for D.A. and County Executive.
Schorr may create temporary drama, but when it is all said and done, he will drift into the night just like Castro and Blassberg.

this next year will be interesting..we have a republican
announced candidate for DA…already and we have a democrat
DA who used to be a republican…and who will no doubt
be the choice of the democratic party ..however we are
hearing that tony castro the two time losing candidate
is considering a primary challenge..castro, who is closely
associated with his former campaign manager richard blassberg as well as guardian newspaper owner sam zherka
who is suing the da, is being urged to run on the theory
that castro got the nomination twice and is entitled
to it a third time..of course the fact that he lost
twice to republicans pirro and difiore even though
in pirro;s case her husband was in federal prison for
tax fraud during the election, and in di fiore’s case
he had over a 100,000 democratic registration edge
doesn’t seem to convince him that the reason he lost
is because the voters of westchester found him
not qualified to be the da..the fact that he conitnues
his relationship with both blassberg and a strip club
owner doesn’t seem to register either. should be
really interesting
