Which will you watch: McCain v. Obama or Yonkers SFC debate?

October
6

Yonkers residents and others curious about the fate of the biggest redevelopment ever in Westchester’s biggest city have a dilemma. Tomorrow night the Yonkers City Council is set to take a key vote on Struever Fidelco Cappelli’s $1.6 billion plan to remake much of the city’s downtown. Tomorrow night is also Round Two of the Barack Obama-John McCain debate.

So what to do if you want to watch both? Since the Yonkers City Council meets at 8 p.m. and the Presidential Debate isn’t until 9 p.m., you could hope for the City Council to finish quickly. But since the Council will have to have to decide whether the project’s environmental impact statement is complete, a determination it’s been wrestling with for months, a quick decision may not be in the cards. I guess that’s why we have TiVo, You Tube and cable repeats.

Which are you going to watch?
