Feld’s New Ad

October
7

Republican Senate candidate Liz Feld, mayor of Larchmont, launched a new ad today contending that students in the district of her opponent, Democratic Sen. Suzi Oppenheimer, get less state education aid than children in any state in America — even though Westchester pays the highest property taxes in the nation.

The ad is airing on public cable stations in Westchester.

Feld’s campaign is one of the most closely watched in New York, as Republicans increasingly think she can upset the long-time incumbent Oppenheimer.

Here’s the script:

“Westchester families pay the highest property taxes in America.
But our kids get less state aid for education than anywhere else in the country.
Less than anywhere.
That’s why we pay such high taxes.
Suzi Oppenheimer actually voted AGAINST more school aid for Westchester.
Giving it to Long Island instead.
Twenty-five years in office and our kids get the lowest school aid in the nation.
That’s not sticking up for US.
We need Liz Feld. The energy to fight for Westchester.”

Killer ad. The least school funding IN AMERICA???

    That’s insane.

Isn’t Suzi Oppenheimer asking people to re-elect her because she is the point person on education?

How can our funding be so low if she is a senior member of the education committee?

Its increasingly clear to me that she checked out a long time ago.

    Time for change!!!

you know what ..suzi is a fraud…she is in office
just to be there accomplishing nothing..and voting
against the interests of her own constituents…

consultant is SO right. 20 years is long enough. Forget that she’s a graybeard, or that her arrogant husband abuses handicapped parking spots worse than the UCLA football team did ten years ago.

Ms. Oppenheimer should go off into the sunset. She is as useless as tits on a bull.

I only regret that I don’t live in the 37th. I would love to vote for Mayor Feld.

Suzi needs to ride off into the sunset. Change seems to be the vernacular in politics these days so lets bring that change to Westchester. Suzi Oppenheimer has been useless these days and it is time for us Westchester voters to wake up and start electing officials that get results. Senator Oppenheimer is the same status quo that is the Albany political scene. Vote For Change! Vote for Liz Feld!!!

  7. Larchmont Mom

Westchester voters don’t let Larchmont be the next Wasilla. Liz Feld cares about Liz Feld. Just ask the people she forced out of office so she could run for Mayor. And then look at Larchmont’s budget or try to find Madame Mayor when you really need her. The Repubican Senate Committee should get its $150,000 back. Albany is Liz Feld’s next stepping stone on her way to God only knows where. I’m no fan of Suzi Oppenheimer, but enough is enough. Larchmont is our home, not Liz Feld’s playground.
