Feld’s New Mailer

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Oct 08, 2008

Speaking of Republican Senate candidate Liz Feld, here’s her latest mail piece that plays on her same theme as yesterday’s television ad: Westchester is getting less school aid than anywhere in the country, but pay the highest taxes.

Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos, R-Nassau County, said this morning that Feld will remain a priority race for Senate Republicans as they seek to unseat Democratic Sen. Suzi Oppenheimer.

“We’re not going to give up on that race,” he said on Fred Dicker’s Albany radio show.

Suzi looks asleep in the mailer. Doesn’t suprise me she has been asleep for the last 15 years.

I wish I got as much done in my “sleep” as Suzi has gotten done for Westchester. Over $200 million more for our schools, she cut property taxes by 2.6 billion, changed the state budget process for the better, has gotten the highest marks for her environmental record… Why haven’t we seen Liz’s record? Oh, wait… she marched in the million mom march and worked for Nickelodeon. And she put a bike rack in the village. WOW!!

All the Republican cash in the world will not help the unpopular mayor of Larchmont, Liz Feld, to get elected to the Senate. Even a good deal of Republicans aren’t voting for her. Why? Because we know that even if she did get elected, she would be a powerless tool for Skelos to vote however he sees fit. Suzi has the power and seniority: she’s in the minority LEADERSHIP. She knows how to get things done for Westchester.
