Endorsements for Ball
State Assemblyman Greg Ball, R-Patterson, released a list today of recent endorsements he’s received. Ball, who is running for a second term representing A.D. 99, is facing a challenge from John Degnan, a former Brewster mayor and trustee. Ball will be on the Republican, Independence and Conservative lines next month. Degnan, a registered Republican, will be on the Democratic and Working Families lines.

Labor, building trades, nurses back Albany’s hardest working legislator
Nurses joined two of the largest organized labor bodies in the 99th Assembly District in announcing their unanimous support of Assemblyman Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) today.
Ball, who has earned a reputation as one of the strongest pro-union voices in the legislature for his legislative voting record, spearheading legislation for the enforcement of prevailing wage laws and cracking down on 1099 misclassification, was endorsed by the Hudson Valley Building & Construction Trades Council of New York, affiliated with the A.F.L.-C.I.O., and the Empire State Council of Carpenters.
Julie Minor, Political Director of the Carpenters, wrote to Ball that “it is clear that you will be the best representative for the working men and women of the Empire state carpenters. Our members work hard every day to earn a living, and we know that you will work hard for them.â€
Already endorsed by Tom Golisano’s Responsible New York, Ball was the only Hudson Valley Republican running for the Assembly to receive the Building & Trades Council sponsorship. He also received an endorsement from the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA).
Shaun Flynn, Director of the Governmental Affairs department of the NYSNA, told Ball that “the endorsement is based on your support of issues important to nurses and because we believe you will provide important leadership in improving the healthcare of New York citizens.â€
The Hudson Valley Building & Trades Council includes the Asbestos Workers Local 191, Boilermakers Local 5, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 5, Carpenters & Joiners Local 2287, Carpenters Local 19, Painters & Allied Traders District Council 9, Electrical Workers Local 363, Ironworkers Local 417, Operating Engineers Local 137, Operating Engineers Local 106, Elevator Constructors Local 138, Laborers Local 1000, Laborers Local 17, Millwrights Local 740, Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 21, Road Sprinkler Fitters Local 669, Sheetmetal Workers Local 38, Teamsters Local 445, Engineers Local 825, and Steamfitters Local 373. Unions supporting Ball? I attended a debate where Mr. Degnan was pro unions and spoke of his family history of being union workers and Ball was against unions, especially the teachers union. Flip/Flop campaigning.
So, let me get this straight…
Degnan and Leibell got Perrault to file a complaint against Ball. The complaint was their “silver bullet” as they joked about at a local GOP meeting..
and it turns out that this 300 +/- pound woman (the silver bullet) was sued herself, not once, but four times for sexual harrassment, and had a blow up doll and wind up penis on her desk? She left a special needs kid on a hot bus? A poor kid had to get staples in his head?

Why he has chosen to take on Ball is beyond me. He is not being advised well. If he was going to do this, fine – but then WIN. Don’t lose 75-25 -and then try to take out Tony, and lose again!
People like leibell, but they really like Ball too..and nobody wants to have to choose between them.
But in a primary, issues win…and Ball can win that battle. Do Senate Republicans want a million dollar primary on their hands? Skelos? Hello? Anybody steering the ship?

They refuse to print anything about the multiple cases…Look at this link..this woman, Leibell’s “silver bullet”...a woman that Leibell quoted in mailers…etc…is going to be Leibell’s worst nightmare one day..this and WONDER LAKE..will take Vincenzo down, down, down…

Getting back to the issue at hand, it’s remarkable that Degnan, a self-proclaimed union carpenter, could not get the endorsement of the state Council of Carpenters, or the Carpenters & Joiners, or the Carpenters Local.
For every single labor union in the area to back Assemblyman Greg Ball, he has to be doing it right by the working families of Dutchess county.
Ball is the only guy fighting to give taxpayer funded projects to the union column, fighting for prevailing wage laws, fighting for IDA reform..he is Republican but has a solid pro union voting record…thank God for Greg Ball…Leibell is giving taxpayer funded projects to fly by night contractors who donate to him and hire illegals

Greg Ball hates unions and especially the teachers union. Ball does not believe in unions right to collective bargaining, Ball has openly complained that some unions are to strong and have to much power. I can not believe any union would support Ball for elected office, it must be nice to be a member of the good old boy club.
The only way you have a Ball vs. Leibell race is if they both decide they want to serve as our next county executive once we are relieved of Bondi’s services or lack there of.
Here is my prediction for the next year or two.
•Ball vs. Kaplowitz for senate
•Birmingham vs. someone for assembly
•Leibell vs. someone for county executive
•Smith vs. Yee, Destefano, Moccio, Borkowski and
maybe Brophy for sheriff

But there are two that are sealed and the dates on those cases are about the time that Evelyn “retired” also known as was asked to leave because she was too much of a problem.
And since I live in Pawling and it’s such a small town, one of Evelyn’s sons had to move away just to get away from the damage his Mother has caused in his life and his friends lives.

Ball lies to the Somers Republican about the equal pay for equal work bill he voted against and now we are expected to believe he told the truth to the unions who ostensibly are supporting him?

I for one am not fooled and will not fall for any of Ball’s lies, ever. When will the general voting public join me? Hopefully on November 4th when they pull the lever for Degnan, the only honorable candidate for Assembly in the 99th.
What you are all witnessing is an all out concerted effort to preempt truths that Mr. Ball must know are coming out.
Why else would he be working so hard to discredit Ms. Perrault? What is he hiding?
More importantly, if he is innocent, what is he afraid of?
This is not typical behavior of any elected official, but certainly not of one who his 100% innocent of any wrong-doing.

Don’t waste your breath on the Mike Santos crowd. Ball came clean on his service record and his ex girlfriend yet they keep crying for more. For them it has to be a conspiracy.
Perrault’s character is a major issue because what she is claiming is heresy. There is no reporting of a witness and her goal was political and character assassination.
I have witnessed this woman accuse people of things they never did before and her personal behavior is quite similar to the behavior she cites Ball exhibits but can’t prove.
Greg has every right to destroy Perrault’s character, if she has any, because she is lying about him for political reasons.
you must realize the “Anybody but Ball” crowd leg by Mike Santos and a small group of Brewster folks need to foster these unprovable accusations because they cannot destroy Greg legally.
What is he afraid of? He’s afraid of a bunch of morons who spread lies on internet blogging sites for political gain. He has every right to defend himself and nothing he says or no matter how clean he comes out about these wild accusations will never satisfy their curiosity because his character assassination is their goal.
I have seen these folks in action. They lie without remorse or logic and hide behind veiled threats or frequently changing handles to hide their numbers. the voters spoke in the Primary that Mike Santos represents no one and that no one is buying the Perrault lies.
Heck even Mitt Romney is backing Greg Ball.

Greg Ball is playing offense to fight off the facts that are being told about him. What is the best way to fight off accusations about things that you have done? The best thing for a creep to do is create stories about their accusers and put them in print as much as you can. Once people start addressing your wild accusations you have been successful in diverting or redirecting the discussion.
Ball keeps pointing the finger at Senator Leibell, but it appeared to me that Don Hall from the Putnam Press was the person who was out to get him. Don Hall is personal friends with the Stephen’s family and has not forgotten how Ball went after his friend Willis Stephens.
Typical for Mike Santos crowd to keep bringing up Stephens. The same Stephens who didn’t even bother to campaign, only attacked Ball’s service record, and called Brewster residents “idiots.”
The sexual harassment charge against Ball is no a fact and you know it. No one is buying it and there is no evidence. In fact there is too much evidence to refute it. But nice to see how the smear campaign works. Cry dirty politics when it is exactly Santos and Degnan’s motive from the start.
Degnan is a hack. Santos is a putz. And Brewster here is just the same stooge who changes his name regularly to slander Greg Ball.
It really is sad what is happening to politics in putnam county. I am disturbed by the negative campaigning of both sides, ball is a sleaze and degnan is a low life. It would be nice if both sides ran a campaign discussing issues. I will refrain from voting in this race this year, it will be my way of protesting the dirty politics. I believe both sides promote with their friends and campaign workers the concept of negative campaigning.

Where are the hard-hitting investigative journalists at the Journal News on these suits against Perrault? Printing her highly suspect allegations against Ball was like lobbing a stink bomb into the room and then running out. But where are they now that Perrault’s sordid history is coming to light? Why aren’t they reporting the suits against her, and digging into who put her up to smearing Ball?
Oh, wait, they won’t bother with this since they don’t like Ball. And if they do, it will be after the election, when the damage is irreversible. That’s just the state of professional journalism today, I guess.
Perrault is not an elected official, Greg Ball is. That is why information about Greg Ball is news, Perrault is not news. Ball may(?) win his seat once again but his negatives and the public perception of him is so bad that if he ever ran for Congress he would get crushed. Don Hall, Chief Editor at the Putnam Press revealed the facts about Greg Ball and no one wants to give him credit because he is an old man running a small newspaper. Don Hall spent his money and his time to reveal the truth about Greg Ball. Others may have run with the information, but Don Hall is the man who was able to obtain much important information about Ball’s past. Ball and his people can blame others, but they know that they were exposed by Don Hall. Here is the issue, if Ball were to acknowledge that Don Hall is the person who revealed all this information then Ball’s claim of a conspiracy would prove to be false. More of the same from Ball and his people.

Perrault not being a public personality does not exonerate her from lying and public scrutiny. When she went public with her lies she made herself a public figure. Her sordid past, of which I witnessed a lot of, is primo info because this is a character issue. Perrault cannot prove her claim and it was a character attack on Greg Ball to capitalize on the ex-girlfriend story. Ball’s only means of defense is to exhibit major character flaws in Perrault to discredit her. Thankfully the truth is starting to get out that Mrs. Perrault is not this perfect saint that everyone was claiming she was when the complaint first came out. She is a liar. I have seen her lie numerous times and this accusation has blown up in her and Degnan’s face.
Don’t sell Don Hall short (no pun intended), Don Hall can buy and sell most of us. Don Hall has a substantial back account. The Putnam Press is just play time for him, Don does not need the income. The fact that Don Hall funded and reported that Greg Ball had an interesting past ruinings Ball’s conspiracy theory. There was no conspiracy, just a few different people who thought Greg Ball was a bad person
Ball tries to take down anyone who he thinks is his enemy. It is how he operates and it gets him what he wants. We heard there are witnesses to Balls statement to this woman but with all the rumors flying around, cant believe anything anymore and as far as these blogs, people are enjoying writing what ever they can think of. Someone should write a book as Ball has political plans and this book could be the start of his political life and maybe a best seller years down the road.
Where have witnesses been reported? All the print media has reported that Perrault was on the phone with Ball. The only assumption you can make is that her husband overheard the conversation and he is not credible because of his association. There has been no reporting of a witness on Greg’s end.
And who in their right mind would just let their enemies walk around unperturbed? Degnan and his crew have run a dirty smear campaign absent of issues and Greg has responded. Good for him.
Ball’s book would be a short one, “I began as an Assemblyman and couldn’t get any further”.
The story line would be about a man who had a great opportunity but ruined himself with lies and the teenagers he hangs around with.
Witness may be a rumor but there were a bunch of Balls buddies out partying and one of them said he was with Ball when he called…so we heard. But who knows.
Come on, the book is a good idea, even if it ends up as a short story !

The Putnam Press, circulation 900, is not even a real newspaper. It is not recognized by the New York Press Association (NYPA). Don Hall is a Joke. The only way they were able to send it out was with $10,000 from Santos.
Brewster X is clearly Ray. Ray thinks that no one remembers his roots…but I remember back in `81, outside of Mahopac HS, the Mahopac vs. Carmel homecoming game, Ray and his friends getting the snot beat out of them. Or that other time on Fair Street… Good times right Ray?

Santos is a sorry individual who seems to have no life, he hangs around Bob’s Diner whispering about people, he is like the old lady in town so full of gossip. Is there any truth to the rumor that Santos and Birmingham share a residence.
Don Hall or Mr. Hall as I knew him growing up was always a hard noised man who spoke the truth. Mr. Hall is a well respected man who people looked to for advice. Mr. Hall has carried himself like a gentlemen for the 35 plus years my family have known him. I value his opinion and trust what he says.
