Democrats Appear Poised To Take State Senate
Both Republican incumbents Serphin Maltese of Queens and Caesar Trunzo have lost their seats to Democratic challengers, putting Democrats in strong position to take control of the state Senate in January.
Additionally, Republican Sen. Kemp Hannon was down 16 percentage points to Kristen McElroy on Long Island, putting another Republican incumbent in trouble.
Moreover, Republicans hope of picking up a Buffalo seat from Democratic Sen. Bill Stackowski with Republican Dennis Delano appears to be fading, with Stachowski holding a 52-48 lead.
And another Republican chance of beating Democratic Sen. Darrel Aubertine in the North Country also appears unlikely as he continues to beat back a challenge from Republican David Renzi.
Senate Minority Leader Malcolm Smith refused to call any races with reporters just moments ago, saying he simply remains hopeful.
“We’re optimistic that the state of New York will go as the country has, that people want change,” he said.

What will the republican senators do now.
What will they do? Same as always. Both parties in NY will continue to rob the citizens and bankrupt the taxpayers. It just will be easier and quicker to do now.
