so here is the question..why did the public have to
wait until the da charged Kris when Ryan is the person
responsible for supervising him..does this mean that
Ryan didn’t know what was going on or does it mean
Ryan knew and simply shut his eyes..in either case
it does not bode well for the taxpayers when the
adminstrative staffs of public officials are stealing
and they are simply put on vacation with full pay

  2. nice

Kriss should do the right thing and disappear immediately. It seems that he wants to bring the heat down on everyone else, Kriss is being an evil man.

  3. smartporpoise

He’s doing what every political operative in his position does – imply that he has the goods on many others, making them nervous while negotiating the best deal he can for himself. In the end, he will get what he wants, and it will be all paid for by he taxpayers.

  4. the consultant

Look gary kris has made the mistake that many others in
a position of authority getting paid by the taxpayers
make..they take advantage..whether its the cars at city
hall in yonkers and the gas..or the stuff kriss
ordered..public service is not supposed to be the equivalent of welfare but for some it is…in whatever
plea arrangement is made, and I certainly would not like
to see him go to jail for this stuff..but as restitution
he should have to pay back the money used to pay for
what he took…and if he chooses to be stubborn about
it..the maybe 90 days would be appropriate but the
taxpayers should be made whole…and Ryan should resign

  5. smartporpoise

A fair and equitable compromise. The most irksome detail in all of this is that they keep him on the payroll. He’s probably STILL building up vacation pay, even now. And, if I remember correctly (and I do), forgotten within all this is that there are a number of others, notably corrections people who have amassed enormous vacation weeks very close to his, and nothing further is said. This speaks to the reality that those running the County are anxious to put this imbroglio behind them, and intend to do nothing constructive or corrective other than to apply cosmetics to pacify the newspapers which have become sharp bones in their craw.

tonight he was fired…..too little too late..but
the fact that difiore charged him will take the wind
out of castro’s sails..and the fact that castro is
a creature of sam zherka…will seal castro’s fate
    as a three time loser

  7. proph E see

castro will spend difiore down and bruise her up a little for the fresh-faced dan schorr to come in for a win.

p.s. what’s with the nazi books kris was writing?

  8. ed1

Whatever he was writing, it’s unlikely anyone plans to publish it. If he has someone doing art/ cover work, it’s obviously not being handled by a legitimate publisher who would provide that service gratis. Additionally, unless you are a present day tried- and- true Scott Fitzgerald (or Stephen King… cough) major publishers almost always insist that they make the decision on the design of covers and dust jackets.

The Democrats here in Westchester are vulnerable.

It’s been their show for eleven years, and everything is SNAFU.

It’s too bad only 27 Republicans, and maybe two Democrats, are active in this board.

Not a lot of voters to influence anything.

  10. proph E see

so, they were essentially nazi pamphlets?

    this is nuts!

  11. Disgusted

Another embarrassment for the DA’s office. One can only imagine how much taxpayer money was spent to arrive at this shabby, face saving, politically expedient nonfeasant conclusion.

  12. A DIFIORE FAN IN SCARSDALE

what did you expect the da to charge him with…murder 1?
and the investigation is still ongoing as you can see by
the comments his attorney made…Schor cannot beat a democrat..he will not have the independence line..no republican can win county wide without it..Castro will
be embarassed by his dirty connections…and a win
in the democratic primary will give difiore the momentum
she needs in the general..Plus I am wagering the conservative line may be hers as well

  13. Jiminy Cricket

The Consultant’s “pal” Zherka has now sued Mt. Vernon over his disorderly conduct arrest last week. He’s blaming DiFiore for it. This must be about the 4,323rd suit filed against various communties and individuals by Zherka and that so-called “lawyer” of his, Lovett.

Neither Zherka or Lovett is credible, and they continue to make a mockery of the legal system.

  14. ed1

This guy files so many lawsuits, if he found a fifty dollar bill on the street, he’d sue the guy who lost it for making him bend over.

  15. tomjo

and where is Andy and his mouthpiece Larry on this scandal?

Where is Difiore on charges that kriss used his position to intimidate a subordinate?
Where is Difiore on the original charges that kriss used public funds (money, not time) for personal items. That was the original reason she took this up. The money kriss spent on cell calls, manga softward, Ibook, etc..
She has refused to charge him on this and he has refused to tell anyone or reimburse the county.

Could this be because Boss Bill has been quoted that Kriss bought all these items with his permission???

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and deals have been made. Slaps on the wrist – misdemeanors, no jail time.
They did not fire Kriss, they let him retire and he will still get his retirement, albeit a little less than the full 20 years, but look at the how high it is based on- $150 grand.

Yet, a decorated Police Officer in Pleasantville is still getting racked over the coals for chastising Difiore for letting a multiple time loser out on the streets again.

No, there is no justice in Westchester tonight. And hasn’t been in many years. It is growing as the proverbial fungus.
And the citizens are feeding the parasitic growth through either apathy or their own agenda of greed or power.
Yes, I guess we get what we richly deserve in the end.

    Do I hear Nero fiddling??

  16. the consultant

your simplistic analysis is not exactly on point..it
kind of reaks from something out of the guardian …something that purports to be lofty
but is the product of the owner of a strip club…
Kris was charged…period.he will have to either plea
or go to trial..no one expects that kris will serve
jail..that is not how the cj system works for a person
with an unblemished record..he will get the punishment
that is appropriate..so there is justice in westchester
the police officer in pleasantville is a totally different
issue…members of the police are upset because of
di fiore’s prosecution in bedford..this is a brotherhood
issue…but remember one thing sam zherka is behind
tony castro…his editor richard blassberg is behind
tony castro..sam zherka is under grand jury investigation
according to his own papers for prostitution money laundering and drug dealing…no matter what the errors
of the current da…there is absolutely no excuse for
a candidate for da..to be the wholly ownec subsidiary
of sam zherka and richard blassberg…
