Wolfson up for state dept flack?

November
24

The Huffington Post has speculation today that Howard Wolfson, who grew up in the Crestwood section of Yonkers, could be headed to State Department as official spokesman if Hillary Clinton takes the top job. Wolfson has handled communications duties for the senator’s presidential campaign; the HuffPo piece focuses on the fact he recently got over his fear of flying, which could otherwise have been a hindrance to the DC job.

If Ian, Jiminy, and Tim are quitting and the consultant is moving to Florida, the franchise better start looking for some quality relief pitching.

ed1 “If Ian, Jiminy, and Tim are quitting and the consultant is moving to Florida,”

Ed-I haven’t jumped overboard yet, even though a certain consultant suggested I ought to move to Venezuela.

I dare say that Jiminy, Tim, and the consultant will be keeping tabs on this blog. Oh they will quit-but it is like smoking, they will want one more peek and they will be back.

the interesting thing is I would have already left
for florida..but sam zherka foolishly decided to
sue me..now I will stay in town just to make sure
his candidate tony castro loooses his primary
    to janet difiore…then I will go south..looks
like zherka outsmarted himself don;t you think?

  4. Jiminy Cricket

Ed…Unlike Elvis at his concerts, I haven’t actually “left the building.” But there is so much negative news out of Wall St., Washington, Albany and the county and local levels it’s hard to keep up with all of it and still maintain some perspective and at least guarded optimism.

Consultant…People like Zherka almost always outsmart themselves. They think they are invincible, but then are shocked to discover they aren’t. I suppose it’s possible Zherka will learn that lesson soon.

Hey! Who said I’m quitting? I’ve got far too much quixotic blood in me to do so.

    ;>

This is the best time to be a Republican: when we are on the outside.

Good news in these troubling times with shaky starting pitching (especially in NY and corporately) to know we have some long relief and closers tentatively returning for the new season. Now, if we can only get our over- payed, glorified starters (the pols) to get us through six innings, we still have a shot at the flag.

ed1: a confession. I was sad when Greg Maddux announced his retirement yesterday.

wait until mr castro gets a load of the pictures
taken of him with zherka…we may have a whole
new political term coined..remember the OTTINGER GAP
coined by david garth..when Ottinger was running
for the US Senate garth had produced very effective
tv spots portraying Ottinger as this dynamic young
congressman..but when he showed up his speaking style
was one step from putting you to sleep…when zherka
stepped out to defeat the mayor of yonkers by supporting
robertson, robertson became a function of zherka..
so the term we will coin is the zherka drag….
anyone connected with zherka politically will be
dragged to the bottom of the political junk heap
    never to arise again..

  9. Jiminy Cricket

The Zherka Drag? That one is too easy to comment on. I’ll punt it to Ed or someone else.

But my non-response wouldn’t have likened the Zherka Drag to a new dance. It would have ventured into the realm of clothing.

That might have been more “fitting,” anyway. :)

stripes or solids? and by the way Jiminy those pictures
are in my possession solely ..they will be made available
to the appropriate people at the appropriate time after
castro makes his grand entry into the race and spends
his wad..no one will ever nominate a three time loser
    to anything

  11. ed1

“stripes or solids” – the consultant is lately taking on a bit of a Mark Twain wit. AND he dropped that double o in loser! I, myself, used to attend drag races, but in my youth, all the entrants in such affairs were hot rods.

  12. the consultant

the point I was making Ed sans the spelling…is that
I had fully intended to stay totally out of political
races this year…in fact I was going to spend most
of the time down in florida as the result of hip surgery
in january etc..but I have changed my mind…and I intend
to make it my number one priority to deprive tony
castro of any chance of ever becomming the da…
he seems not to care with whom (used the preposition correctly) he “pals” around with ….but who he pals
around with is going to be of major interest to
the democrats that will be voting….I am personally
accumulating the information now…it documents his
association with blassberg and zherka…it proves
beyond a reasonable doubt blassbergs involvement in
his planned upcoming campaign…and it also documents
the involvement of zherka a cavalo in their attempt
to “get back at difiore” for whatever the perceived
slight…at my own expense by way of a 527 committee
democrats will get to know the true nature of
    castro’s relationships…relationships that disqualify
him from occupying the post of chief law enforcement
    officer.

  13. Jiminy Cricket

There is never any positive news surrounding Zherka. He seems to be on the radar of various law enforcement agences, including the Manhattan D.A., and he gets his name in the media for all the wrong reasons.

He also seems to be suing everyone but the custodian at White Plains High School, and he’d probably sue his own grandmother over a package of cookies. There is nothing positive associated with Blassberg, either.

I don’t think Castro is qualified to begin with, but his close ties to Zherka and Blassberg put all that negativity way over the top. DiFiore should beat him easily in a primary, if it even gets that far.

  14. the consultant

you got that right…but I will as they say ‘MAKE IT HAPPEN’
as the zherka lawsuit has quoted me as saying….
