Schumer to wrap 62-county tour in Madison County

Posted by: Liz Anderson - Posted in Chuck Schumer on Dec 17, 2008

New York’s roving U.S. Senator, Chuck Schumer, tomorrow will complete a 62-county tour of the state, a feat he has pulled off for nine years now. This year’s final stop will be in Madison County, where he’ll talk up a push for local aid in the expected federal stimulus plan. Or more specifically, that he is “going to push for billions of dollars in new federal funding to upgrade local infrastructure projects, boost green businesses, create jobs and help local schools in Madison County and across the country as part of the federal economic stimulus package now being drawn up by President-Elect Obama and Congress.”
