Clinton’s prepared testimony
According to the Associate Press, Secretary of State-designate Hillary Rodham Clinton is promising to renew U.S. leadership through a “smart power” mix of diplomacy and defense.
In her prepared opening statement, the AP reports she will promise to push for more American partnerships around the world. But she will say the United States cannot solve its most pressing problems “on our own” and says “the world cannot solve them without America.”
This morning’s hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30.
