Watch Clinton confirmation on the Web

January
13

Secretary of State-designate Hillary Rodham Clinton faces questions this morning from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on President-elect Barack Obama’s approach to a wide range of international crisis ranging from the violence in Gaza, to the proposed withdrawal of combat troops from Iraq and plans to increase forces in Afghanistan.

In her opening statement at her confirmation hearing, the junior senator from New York is expected to present the Obama administration’s vision for repairing the standing and image of the United States in the international community.

The hearing, which is scheduled to start at 9:30,  can be watched in its entirety on the Web at

Hillary Clinton’s confirmation was the only one I wanted to watch. She did a magnificient job at speaking about her aims and how she would handle the myriad of problems facing the Obama democratic administration.

I do hope she has input also on Obama’s ideas of job creation in his aim to devote the investment into just infrastructure which benefits male oriented jobs only.
I do hope that Hillary Clinton that got 20 million votes mostly from women in the population can expect that some of that investment in job creation that Obama plans -goes to traditional women’s roles and small business investments for women business owners cannot obtain loans as easily as men.
I am hoping that Hillary Clinton provides input to Barack Obama in his goals for the equality of women as for African american women who are also disadvantaged in society.
Hillary Clinton presented herself as the Stateswoman that she is and will continue to be to the benefit of all Americans.

She did a lot more for her husband and herself, helping him create a half-billion dollar nest egg by favoring his “clients” than she has ever done for New York. If she keeps this up, they’ll be clamoring for her resignation and she can shimmy back to Hardluck, Arkansas.

If a spaceship lands from somewhere in Andromeda, there’ll be an alien running for some office or other and all the aliens will be voting for her and asking for special treatment at the expense of humans.
