Property-tax relief forum tomorrow

Posted by: Mike Risinit - Posted in property taxes, Sandra Galef, Tom Suozzi on Jan 21, 2009

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, D-Ossining, and Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, who was chairman of a state commission on property-tax relief that endorsed a tax cap, will hold a forum tomorrow (Jan. 22) to discuss the commission’s findings.

The gathering starts at 7 p.m. in Croton-on-Hudson Village Hall, 1 Van Wyck St. Read my colleague Robert Marchant’s story from earlier this month about the forum.

As soon as Washington straightens out the fiscal imbroglio, they will RAISE taxes. NY State and local communities and schools won’t even wait THAT long. They will start immediately.
