Gillibrand to be sworn in 12:30 Tuesday
The swearing in ceremony for Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand as New York’s next senator will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Gillibrand said last week she intends to seek a seat on the Senate Agriculture Committee and Armed Services Committee.
She currently serves on those two panels in the House.
Her prospective New York colleague, Sen. Chuck Schumer, does not serve on either panel.
