Women For Tedisco

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Jan 30, 2009

Trying to drum up support among women for his congressional bid, Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco’s campaign is holding this event tomorrow:

“”Women for Tedisco,” a grassroots group of Republican women supporting Jim Tedisco (R,C,I-Schenectady-Saratoga) in his bid for the 20th Congressional District will hold a rally TOMORROW at noon in Saratoga Springs.”

Democrats are eying a variety of candidates for the 20th District seat, but are certainly interested in putting a woman up for the position as a successor to Kirsten Gillibrand, who was appointed to the U.S. Senate and was able to win Republican votes in the heavily Republican district that stretches from the Hudson Valley to the North Country.

Tedisco should get a bounce from this. He’ll rebound. Man-to-man defense won’t help him here. He’ll have to play zone and be careful not to send his distaff opponent to the foul line. Is there anyone who has gotten more political mileage out of a short-pants stint at Union College? On the other hand, he helped run Spitzer out and has been vocal on the tax cap. That’s more than most of them have done up there.

What a joke. Find me a woman on his staff that has any say in what goes on.

    Bill,

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Tedisco’s budget director is a woman as are several other directors in his office including Tedisco’s district director, public affairs director and personnel director.

The Democrats in New York’s 20th Congressional District are holding secret meetings behind closed doors in undisclosed locations to choose their candidate to run against Tedisco.

What’s up with all the cloak and dagger mystery? Why aren’t the Dem party bosses filling in the media on what’s going on and how they are selecting their mystery candidate?

This isn’t change it is more of the same!

Word is the Democratic chairs are leaning towards Scott Murphy, a Glens Falls businessman, to run for the congressional seat. This would be a VERY BAD IDEA as Murphy is known to have numerous tax liens against him for his businesses.

JennB…very funny. Those are all holdovers from prior minority leaders – every-single-one-of-them (with the possible exception of ‘District Director,’ which is a joke considering the size of the district). And don’t bring up Token, either.

‘Jenny,’ are you sure your name’s not Matt, or Josh, or Will? Some fine Christian name?

No self-respecting woman would ever fall for Tedisco’s patronizing BS.

English isnt my first language but you made me understand clearly, thank you.
