Can’t imagine how County Executive Andrew Spano is feeling over the recent commercial featuring his son, David Spano, speaking out against his dad and county government. In it, he says Westchester “taxes are spiraling out of control” and there’s no end in sight.
The advertisement, paid for by the controversial Westchester Guardian newspaper publisher Sam Zherka, is plugging an anti-county government group that is having a meeting Thursday night in Yonkers.
What do you think? Is this ad fair game?

Update: Spoke to Legislator Ken Jenkins today. His take was that family matters are off-limits in politics. While the sensational aspect of this may grab some attention, it actually hurts the anti-county government cause, he said.
“All the individuals involved in that should hang their heads in shame,” Jenkins said. “If that’s what your going to advertise your cause, that means your cause is already lost.”
