Cuomo: $1M Bonuses To Former AIG Employees
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is out this afternoon with a bombshell letter to Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services, that claims AIG paid bonuses of $1 million or more to 73 employees, including 11 who no longer work for the company—one of whom was paid $4.6 million.
Some of the findings in the letter about the bonuses:—The top recipient received more than $6.4 million;—The top seven bonus recipients received more than $4 million each;—The top ten bonus recipients received a combined $42 million;—22 individuals received bonuses of $2 million or more, and combined they received more than $72 million;—73 individuals received bonuses of $1 million or more; and—Eleven of the individuals who received “retention” bonuses of $1 million or more are no longer working at AIG, including one who received $4.6 million;

Meanwhile, Sen. Charles Schumer and Senate Democrats wrote to AIG executives today, saying the company should give up the bonuses “or else prepare for Congress to tax the payments to virtually nothing.”
In a letter to AIG CEO Edward Liddy, the Democratic senators warned that they would pass a “steep tax,” to recoup the bonus payments if the executives refused to forego them.
“In America, we believe in rewarding success. AIG is attempting to reward the most extreme failure,” the senators wrote.

The officers of these corporations have been stealing from their stockholders since the onset of recorded (and unrecorded) minutes. Now. they steal directly from the taxpayers, The NY Times today published an outraged editorial. One wonders how many bonuses were, over years and years, were paid at the Times to their own top earners while investors in that entity progressively lost shareholder value (meaning money.) It’s the way of the world – everyone thinks he’s entitled to glom if it’s within his bailiwick and no one is really watching. Politicians with their big mouths and quick accusations in effect do the same thing via their lobbyists and sub rosa confidantes, but they prefer to call their “bonuses” campaign contributions and “personal business interests.” Even Milton’s heaven had a jail – hell. Perhaps all we can hope for is that hell is where it will all end, and things will be accounted for, as there seems to be little justice or honesty available up north of that region.
To briefly expand upon my previous rant, it has today been printed that one B. Obama was on the receiving end of over 100 grand in AIG donations. Good old Chris Dodd pocketed a fat chunk from them as well.

Aside from the monies given by the UNITED STATES government – the largest shareholders are GOLDMAN-SUCKS and WARREN’short-laughing-pudgy’BUFFET besides ‘original owners’ forced out by the NY AG E – L – I – O – T SPITZER when he was not dabbling with PROS-TEE-TOOT-EES on the public’s money – and now NY AG ANDY’lil-mafioso-in-training’CUOMO has taken up the ‘populist’ class-warfare banner in the hopes it will land him in the GOVERNOR’S MANSION or a SENATURD SEAT!!! AIG is one of the largest insurance underwriters in the world and much of the ‘BAILOUT’ MONIES went to GOLDMAN-SUCKS + WARREN’should-have-been-indicted-for-bond-fraud-at-Salomon-for-KATRINA-insurance-scam-for AIG-fraud’BUFFETT and only a fraction FRACTION to BONUSES!!!NESIDES THESE WERE ALL GOOD DEMBHOLES LED BY GEITHNERBut heh ‘the OBAMA’ is ‘outraged’ so it must be so right??? millions they paid in bonuses were Direct deposits into
the accounts of the 73 employess and former employees
“Play with my shmeckle and get a loan?” Come to think of it, I believe I DID briefly see a Barney Frank billboard in Massachusetts that said something like that.
Now ‘the OBAMA’ and the other WANNABE MARXIST’S have an excuse for regulating everyone’s salaries/pay???!!! Because in 1993 PREZ BILL ‘the D^CKHEAD’ CLINTON byatched about the salaries on WALL STREET&THE MAJOR BANKS so we encouraged the BONUS SYSTEM to skirt the taxes!!!
