Ball mystery solved?
So, according to a U.S. Postal Service receipt, the treasurer for Republican state Assemblyman Greg Ball’s Congressional challenge of U.S. Rep. John Hall, D-Dover Plains, mailed Ball’s statement of candidacy to the Federal Election Commission by express mail on May 6.
Ball treasurer Maria DiSalvo, a Patterson horsefarm owner, reportedly got confirmation of delivery of Ball’s “statement of organization” today.
That may explain why Ball is nowhere to be found as a candidate on the FEC website. It doesn’t explain why Ball failed to meet an April 15 deadline for filing financial information about his “exploratory” committee.
Ball, R-Patterson, is expected to make the big announcement tomorrow but has been saying for weeks that his exploratory committee didn’t fall under the federal requirement to file once a $5,000 fundraising or spending threshold is reached.
No one wants to say how much Ball has raised or spent. DiSalvo has not returned calls.
But what is known is that Ball has hired some high price consultants to help with his as of yet non-existent campaign.

hey I am not one of the high priced consultants
but you see what happened to jeanine who hired
them….
The consultant is right on.
Another issue. In the previous post, Susan Elan reported:
“Ball4NY Congressional Exploratory Committee spokesman Christopher Arnold says soon-to-be-announced Republican Congressional challenger Greg Ball submitted his Federal Election Commission forms on May 1.”
But now the claim is that the committee was reported on May 6.
Why does Greg Ball and his associates feel it necessary to repeatedly lie to the public?
It makes one think. If Ball is willing to so freely bend the truth on such trivial matters, can we really believe anything he says? I mean, he is a proven liar. Just ask the Journal News or League of Women Voters, both of which have publicly excoriated him for his past lies, smears and slanders.
Just recently he was called on the carpet by Journal News reporter Marcela Rojas for his very public lie about the expansion of Route 22.
Ball’s response?
He hung up on the reporter.
2010 is going to be a very fun year. Just keep in mind, it’s not 1994….
This story says, ....”Ball treasurer Maria DiSalvo, a Patterson horsefarm owner, reportedly got confirmation of delivery of Ball’s “statement of organization” today.”
today is May 9th isn’t it?????? Seems to be a confict of dates.
Also interesting that story says that Maria D. is a Patterson horsefarm owner. Going back to some of the country fundraisers Ball has had at the Patterson Horsefarm last summer, Councilman Joey Capasso was the farm owner and DeSalvo was the live in girl friend.
This is like a soap opera.
Here is the real problem for Assemblyman Greg Ball, when the National Democratic Committee begins there detailed investigation of him and his background, they will reveal much of the information that local’s could not over the last few years. Assemblyman Greg Ball’s past will catch up to him sooner then later, this is the big leagues. Congressman Hall is part of the Majority that runs Washington today; the Democrats control the Presidency, The Senate and The Congress. Do you think they are going to sit back and allow a snot nosed kid to win this seat?
Maria Disalvo is Ball’s treasurer??? You must be kidding me!
This woman isn’t exactly pure as the driven snow.
When she ran the Northridge Equestrian Center in Eastchester, Republican County Executive Andy O’Rourker decided to longer have Westchester County utilize her ‘services’ after a scathing article appeared in the New York Times that revealed how crooked Disalvo was.
“Horse owners had complained that Ms. DiSalvo mistreated animals by underfeeding them and used the public stables for private business.”
With every organization Disalvo has been involved with over the years, if she was involved with the bookeeping – money always went missing. She’s been accused of being the culprit in almost every case.
Looks like Ball picked a perfect treasurer – someone even more corrupt than him!
Not to mention Disalvo’s significant other, Joe Capasso, who was caught red-handed last year stealing municipal property from the City of Mt. Vernon, including the infamous fire truck that just “appeared” in his garage.
Unbelievable!
And this is who Ball wants to take to Washington!!!???!!!
disalvo is certainly a shady character. perfect for ball.
birds of a feather… water seeks its own level…
no surprises here.
IS THIS woman, DiSalve still Balls
Treasurer? Is filing going to be done?
Looks like DiSalvo’s horse business in Patterson
is gone…nare a mere there !
OMG. This is the woman that wants to be Southeast town clerk now!
Just curious. When is all this “blockbuster” information coming out on Greg Ball? I’m sure Vinny Leibell would like to read about it while sitting in federal prison, contemplating the next round of indictments, wondering…...
