The upstate business group, Unshackle Upstate, is running ads across the region to protest the current state budget, which the group estimates will mean about $1,300 a year in new taxes and fees for an average family.
The group’s radio ad says, “We don’t want to leave New York but lawmakers are making it hard to stay.
We asked them to cut spending and lower taxes. They did the opposite. Thanks for the sucker punch, Albany.”
