Jay Gallagher Recovering

June
30

Our dear friend and colleague Jay Gallagher, the Albany bureau chief for the past 25 years, is recovering well in a Boston hospital after having surgery for stage II pancreatic cancer last week.

He was upbeat and sounded great when I spoke to him over the weekend. And he must be feeling better: He’s already writing about the days of Zenia Mucha and former Sen. Marty Knorr on the wonderful blog his family set up.

You can read Jay’s blog about his recovery here.

Also, he stressed how much the cards, emails and phone calls from everyone at the Capitol and beyond has meant to him in his recovery.

You can email Jay at jaygallagheralbany@gmail.com.
