Statements On Ted Kennedy’s Death
Here’s some of the statements out this mor
ning on Sen. Edward Kennedy’s death.
President Barack Obama:
“Michelle and I were heartbroken to learn this morning of the death of our dear friend, Senator Ted Kennedy.
For five decades, virtually every major piece of legislation to advance the civil rights, health and economic well being of the American people bore his name and resulted from his efforts.”
I valued his wise counsel in the Senate, where, regardless of the swirl of events, he always had time for a new colleague. I cherished his confidence and momentous support in my race for the Presidency. And even ashe waged a valiant struggle with a mortal illness, I’ve profited as President from his encouragement and wisdom.”
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg:
“There will never be another first family of American politics like the Kennedys, and there will never be another United States Senator like Ted Kennedy. Inspired by the noblest of ideals – a life of service in pursuit of justice, equality, and peace – Senator Kennedy’s compassion and charisma were matched only by his extraordinary legislative accomplishmentsover five decades.”
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand:
“Senator Kennedy’s dedication for over four decades to help millions of our nation’s children, seniors and families is an inspiration to me, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve with him in the United States Senate.
While we have lost an American treasure today, Senator Kennedy’s rich legacy, historic legislative record and deep commitment to positive change for all Americans will continue to be felt for generations to come.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Kennedy family as they grieve over their loss.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo:
“Senator Edward Kennedy fearlessly challenged this country to be better. His loss is tragic, but his legacy will forever endure. It will survive in the generations he transformed, the people he helped, and the country he adored.”

Most writers have the essential component of the Kennedy-Chappaquiddick saga wrong.
Mary Jo Kopechne did NOT drown. She in fact suffocated. The woman perished while trapped in the submerged Oldsmobile sedan while under water in a dark tidal pond. It was long ago figured that Kopechne survived for at least an hour or more after the crash by breathing from an air pocket. No matter how it’s sliced, that has to be a tough way to die.
With a little detective work it has been figured that the real Chappaquiddick story was fundamentally different from the extensive lie promoted by Kennedy himself. Facts strongly suggest that Kopechne disappeared from the party at an earlier time. She’d mentioned to more than one person that cigarette smoke and the stuffy atmosphere at the cottage were making her feel ill. It was figured that Mary Jo Kopechne after making her way outside, found the unlocked Oldsmobile 4-door sedan, laid down across the back seat and fell asleep. There was no conspiracy or plot involved. It was a matter of simple happenstance.
Later that night, the routinely drunk Teddy Kennedy left the party with another woman, got behind the wheel of the Oldsmobile and aimed the car in the direction of the beach road. Kennedy, with one other person in the front and another laying down on the back seat only made it as far as the narrow Dike Bridge. With his driving skills impaired, Kennedy lost control and drove the car off the bridge and into the Chappaquiddick – Poucha tidal pond.
Perhaps it was the cold ocean water that helped Kennedy sober up enough to escape along with the mystery woman front seat passenger. It is believed that Kennedy did not know that another person was in that car. Kennedy made it back on foot to some point where he was able to make contact with his political minions. Somehow, the operatives got him over to the main island of Martha’s Vineyard, where Kennedy was checked into a motel. Records later showed that numerous phone calls were made back and forth from Kennedy’s room telephone all during the night. He was later seen, in the early morning, having breakfast at the motel coffee shop while casually chatting with other guests.
Meanwhile, local police had discovered in the tidal pond, the now partially exposed Oldsmobile sedan. Upon closer examination, the body of a young woman was found in a corner area near the rear window. Artificial respiration was carried out, but Mary Jo Kopechne could not be revived. Noticed at the time, was that no water could found in the woman’s lungs. Early on, it was figured that Kopechne had not drowned but instead had suffocated. Despite Massachusetts state law, no autopsy was ever performed on Mary Jo Kopechne’s body to discover the true cause of death.
Kennedy’s later contrived story had him at the risk of his own life “diving repeatedly in an effort to save Miss Kopechne”. At the time, innumerable Massachusetts residents, including me, were outraged. Political stooges had taken depraved actions of the drunk miscreant Teddy Kennedy and spun the homicidal debacle into a performance of heroism.
Despite all, the contemptible Teddy Kennedy was elected again and again to the United States Senate by the people of Massachusetts. To this day, I have been unable to find anybody who even admits to having voted for Kennedy. In life and now death Theodore Edward Kennedy was a despicable human being. Hopefully through the sobering test of time, facts will be accurately weighed.
In the meantime, the entire federal election system along with congress and senate requires a good strong enema. This nation needs to a return to an operation of a true governed republic operated on actual democratic principle. Perhaps with Kennedy’s final flush through the sewer pipe of history, the much needed cleansing can now begin.

Kennedy testified that he was taking her to the ferry. The fact that her pocketbook and keys were found by police in the cabin negates that story. Any way you turn it, his story is packed with lie after lie. But, he did get a two month suspended sentence, so justice was served.
just one question assuming kennedy did not know
that the woman was passed out in the back of the
oldsmobile, and assuming he did lie about attempting
to save her ( ie if he didn’t know she was there
how could he save her)..why is this not simply
an accidental death..where is his mental intent
to either disregard his duty or to intentionally
or negligently leave her there
We will never witness a more influential member of the UNITED STATES SENATE in our lifetimes.[As your regards the suppositions about CHAPPAQUIDDICK – your basic assumptions are quite accurate. Having spoken with GARGEN a KENNEDY relative when i was in TAXACHUSETTS – he informed myself and others that EDWARD MOORE KENNEDY was unaware of MaryJo’s presence in the backseat and was ‘taken’ to Baker Aviation in Northhampton – where he was made aware by the news of her death by asfixiation not drowning earlier the next morning. The name of the married woman he was with in the front seat was and has never been divulged.]
Wasn’t this Gargen the guy Teddy tried to get to take the blame and claim to the police that he was driving, not Teddy?
Baker Aviation? It’s documented and was witnessed that he spent the night at a hotel across the water. He called his lawyer from this hotel the next morning (also documented) before he turned himself in and before he even notified the authorities about the accident.
This is what GARGEN relayed to myself among others that TEDDY was taken to ‘friends’ at BAKER AVIATION in NORTHHAMPTON and wwas unaware of the fate of KOPECHNE until early the next morning. GARGEN was later institutionalized several times. Witnesses and documentation are subject to whom you wish to believe – as are the ‘magic bullet theory’ or ‘the man on the grassy knoll’ or how NO ONE is alleged/quoted to see EDWARD MOORE KENNEDY wet/disheveled after the swim in CHAPPAQUIDDICK or saw the other woman in the car. GO FIGURE???
With all the machinations of the Kennedys and friends who were present that night, wouldn’t be surprised, after all was said and done, and he walked away free from the courthouse, if they started many different rumors to make Ted look less evil. They’d surely prefer to leak undocumented aspersions about some possibly innocent, unnamed married woman being in the front seat and Kopechne passed out in the back seat (hard to swallow that she went outside because the smoke was bothering her, but never awoke during the bumpy ride unless, of course dead drunk) ruining everyone and anyone’s reputation so long as Ted could be seen by the voters as totally not responsible for her death, and trying further to make TK the victim of only a bit of bad judgement starting at the cottage wherein everyone, we are supposed to believe, was drunk except him.
