Kolb Staying Clear of State GOP Fight
Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, R-Canandaigua, has met with the two candidates for state GOP chairman, but he said he’s not going to back a person and will stay out of the battle.
Some Republican insiders have suggested that because state committee members are selected by Assembly district, Kolb could have some sway with the people who will vote for the next chairman next month at the party’s convention, particularly in upstate districts.
But Kolb said the decision is best left with the party delegates. The seat is being sought by Niagara County GOP chairman Henry Wojtaszek and Ed Cox, a Manhattan attorney and son-in-law to late President Nixon.
“I’m definitely staying neutral,” Kolb said. “I’ve had very good conversations with both Henry and Ed. I like them both. I want them both to be in the party.”
“But to be perfectly frank with you, I think the decision on who our next chair should be should come from the rank-and-file committee people and the (county) chairs. They were the ones elected to do that.”

Kolb, Skelos and all of the Elected GOP officials should be call for the selection of the “BEST OF THE BEST” as the next “CEO” of the NYGOP, The Assembly is down to, what 41 Republicans. and the Senate has lost the Majority and is one step away from being in the same boat as the Assembly, Lets not forget all the County Ex-races they they have lost, and county legislatures.

Rudy/Pataki/Faso/Bruno/Lazio/Mondello all need to stay out of it they have ruined the GOP party they should be the last people to pick a New GOP CEO.
It is time to find the BEST OF THE BEST, not the BEST of the WORST.

The guy from Niagara County is an empty suit, which is exactly why Golisano, Pataki and D’Amato are backing him. Oh, did I forget Bruno’s support (he’s calling it in from his lawyer’s office).
This is all about whether the assortment of losers, has-beens and trouble makers who destroyed the GOP over the past 15 years will keep their hold on what’s left of the party, or whether a new group of activists will get a chance to rebuild the party from the devastation of the Pataki/Bruno/D’Amato years.
Yes, the NYGOP has been ruined by Pataki/Rudy/D’Amato/Bruno/Faso/ and by it;s chief “BRAIN” Arthur Finkelstein and all those other “LITTLE BRAINS”. It is time to wipe the slate clean
The NYGOP needs to find the “BEST OF THE BEST”, not the “BEST OF THE WORST”
Rudy is not the savor nor is Faso or Pataki, or Lazio, or D’Amato and other of his “ILK”
It is time to find the “BEST OF THE BEST” and start the long road to victory.
