"Throw all the bums out" is stupid, mindless policy. But it makes good copy, and connects with those who hate govt no matter what the issue or the provocation.

The problem is: you should want to throw out the bums who caused this mess - primarily Espada and crew, but THEIR voters do not think like Westchester people. They will re-elect Espada in the Bronx. The area that will throw bums out will take it out on Dan Squadron, Darrel Aubertine, Dave Valesky, but nothing will change because Espada, Skelos, Malcolm Smith, Sampson ARE ALL GOIN TO BE RE-ELECTED.

Consultant: it isn't that people like their Senator but hate the institution - it's that the Senators they hate they can't touch. Not in their district. And the only two-party place in the state is (some of) the sububrs. If you throw out Espada what do you get? remember: his two immediate predecsessors, Efrain Gonzalez and Israel Ruiz were both indicted, too. Bring on a new bum, and have the same gripe in 2012.

The Consultant is so right.
"voters may indeed be angry but the issue is whether they
will take their anger out on their own state senators
which historically is an iffy proposition..eg voters
hold the US congress in low regard but continually
re-elect their own congressman…so we shall see
if the dysfunction that now exists changes anything"

Voters get some backbones!!!
Elect new blood.
