Spano gets nod from construction union
County Executive Andy Spano on Wednesday was endorsed by the Building and Constructions Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties. The Building Trades Council represents over 35,000 Union construction workers.
“I have always believed the hard-working men and women of Westchester deserve the right to fair wages, workplace safety and a strong social safety net,” Spano said.
The council’s president, Edward Doyle, said Spano has stood up for workers’ rights and that workers have “an ally in Andy Spano.”
