Paterson Calls On Legislature To Propose Cuts

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Oct 08, 2009

Gov. David Paterson’s budget director Robert Megna put out a memo this morning asking the Legislature to come up with their budget-cutting plan by next Wednesday, when he’s asked legislative staff to meet to go over their proposals.

Megna said the governor has already taken the step of cutting state agencies’ spending by $500 million, and they have about another $2.5 billion to go before they close what is expected to be a $3 billion mid-year gap.

Paterson has been criticized for not proposing his own cuts to the budget, but that appears to be his next step if can’t reach a deal with the Legislature first.

Here’s the memo.

While looking to give up smoking, I came across the electric cigarette. The e cigs wotks on a nicotine material that consists of simply nicotine. Virtually no toxic substances in the slightest. They already have in a literal sense improved my life. No longer inhaling and exhaling toxic chemicals feels awesome to me!
