NY Post backs Astorino

The New York Post today endorsed Rob Astorino for county executive. In its editorial, the paper owned by Rupert Murdoch cited high taxes and spending as reasons for ousting County Executive Andrew Spano, a Democrat.
They liked Astorino, a Republican, because of his plans to have employees kick-in for health-care and pension costs, merging duplicative agencies and consolidating government services.
“Having a fiscally responsible executive to attack Westchester’s out-of-control tax burden could take a huge load off taxpayers’ shoulders. Which is why Westchester voters should pull the lever for Rob Astorino next Tuesday.”

Andy Spano never should have run for a fourth term.
Right. It’s Ryan’s turn. Ring around the Democratic rosey.
The Post is like the national enquirer, not to worry, newspaper endorsements do not win elections.
DO NOT UNDERSESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE NY POST WHICH
EVERY COMMUTER READS ON THE WAY HOME…THIS YEAR IF THE
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS IN GREENBURGH INSIST ON WANTING MORE
AND MORE LIKE THE 30% TAX HIKE THEY HAVE GOTTEN OVER
THE LAST FEW YEARS COMBINED WITH RUNAWAY COUNTY SPENDING
EVEN THOUGH ROB SHOULD WIN..DON;T FEEL BAD..THEY DESERVE
EXACTLY WHAT THEY WILL GET
wow, a newspaper that people actually read. lohud should study up.
Great point Consultant – many of the NY Post employees/readers live in Westchester County (not Manhattan or NJ)- and they actually have a monetary stake in the election.
