Mayor Phil Amicone released a letter today he sent to Yonkers Inspector General Philip Zisman regarding his lack of confidence in Zisman’s performance and pointing out what he considers ethical lapses on Zisman’s part.
The letter is the latest in a series of letters and press releases issued by city officials this year regarding Zisman and Amicone’s efforts to replace him.

Now that Amicone has a little more ammo on the city council—with two Republican wins—and Chuck Lesnick on the ropes, he’ll now try to appoint another lackey to the IG job—one that will whitewash the Amicone record and render pointless the job of IG in Yonkers. The council, with its spine removed, will likely acquiesce. This reveals Amicone to be nothing but craven, petty and venal.
