Understanding State politics in the Assembly equates to hearing what Shel Silver has to say and then saying “yes, sir.”
On top of that, after his latest showing at the polls, he probably couldn’t even secure the Democratic nomination even for a seat so useless. If anything, it couldn’t be more obvious that the Assembly needs some new and innovative young blood and not more of the same tired and cynical dysfunction.

Bill should now run for the vacant Assembly seat left open by Adam’s move to Mayor. Bill is a statesman and understands state politics better then most. He would have my vote, he is up 1 – 0 as of now.

Where are the election results including absentee ballots and write-ins? I don’t see them on the BOE website. They still show zero absentee ballots.

What a shame that Hyland did not win. ryan has done nothing for the residents of WP’s and Scarsdale. He takes and takes. Makes one sick! He lost a lot of weight but this win will certainly swell up his head.

I am shaking my head, we just gave this guy a ticket to do anything he wants. What I don’t understand is how he even got one single vote, after the Kriss controversy and his attempt to the pay raise. Are the people of white plains, democrats blind? Dumb? Stupid? I guess so. But then again this paper after all their reporting decided not to have an opinion in their editorial section, so I have to apply the same critique to the JN as well.

I cant believe Ryan won again, even after the scandal. only in westchester can a part-time worker make close to six figures and be able to hire full-time staff that make over six figures. unbelievable.
