Lazio Picks Up Niagara County Nod

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Dec 07, 2009

Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Lazio is in western New York today and picked up the endorsement of the Niagara County Republican chairman Mike Norris.

So far, Lazio has the endorsements of the county GOP chairmen in Orange, Schoharie and Suffolk counties and the Conservative chairmen in Monroe and Queens. Today’s endorsement also comes in the backyard of Erie County Executive Chris Collins, who is also considering a run for governor next year.

“I am supporting Rick Lazio because I believe we need to get started now if we’re going to fix New York,” Norris said in a statement. “The people of Niagara County and throughout this state are looking for someone who will deliver fundamental change to New York, and Rick Lazio is that person.”

What is with this guy? He must know he has no shot against Cuomo. What’s his angle? The Republicans have to stop offering up sacrificial lambs and find a strong candidate.

  2. THE CONSULTANT

it seems a better way for republicans to determine the
nominee by letting them fight it out at a convention
to get the max attention and momentum out of the
convention..they can both make their cases before
    then….and demonstrate their fundraising prowess..
