GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Lazio brought in $1.1 million during the six-month filing period and had $637,356 on hand.
Lazio spent $708,036 during the period, with a good chunk going to Arthur Finkelstein & Associates Inc.—Gov. George Pataki’s old consulting firm.
Erie County Executive Chris Collins filed with $1 million in the bank, with Collins’ loaning $600,000 to his campaign.

This has been a pattern with Arthur Finkelstein & Co making tons of money off of “Rich” people, useing Mike Long And the Conservative Party.
In 2000 they made a bundle of money of the Laziostein campaign and in the end they sold him down the river, he still does not realize that, just like Al D’Amato does not realized how he too was sold down the river.

I never approved of the way they leveraged the conserative
party back in the day…but you have recognize that finkelstein and his offspring, politically speaking,
were the consultants of record when d’amato became senator
and pataki became governor and even dennis vacco became
attorney general..however they attempted to do with the right to life party the same thing they did with the conservative party not realizing that in new york right to
life was a truly minority position so rather than defeating
chuck schumer d’amato became identified with that issue as
did vacco..and they lost just as easily as they had won..
I am wondering why lazio is so anxious to take on andy
cuomo since he will be the nominee by acclimation and
patterson will drop out getting a job from the white
house most likely….cuomo has millions not just 600,000
and lazio cannot beat him…sorry…but lazio who ran for the US senate once and was formerly a US congressman can
win the senate seat from either gillibrand or ford particularly if they have a bruising primary…so why
doesn’t he focus on the race a republican has a better
chance of winning…and one with which he has more familiarity with the issues..also one which he ran before
and may have lost but retains residual name identification
if finkelstein is making this call its the wrong call..
and lazio ought to insist that they poll on the senate
race..i can tell you the outcome of any race against

Dear Consultant Al D’Amato lost not because of the Right to life line, he lost because Arthur Finkelstein & co sold him down the river.
Vacco lost because Arthur Finkelstein & Co told him NOT TO TAKE THE LINE, if he had the line he would have “WON” and Spitzer would never have become the sheriff of Wall Street, and used that fame to be elected Governor along with Paterson for LT Governor.
Paterson would not have become Governor and appointed Ravitch Lt Governor, the courts would not have confirmed the right of a governor to appoint one.
There would be not “king” Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Schumer, would masterminded the take over of the Senate in 2006 and the super majority in 2008
No Hillary CLinton in 2000, Vacco would have run and won.

Anything associated with the fingerprints of D’Amato & Finkelstein just plain stinks. A year which could prove victorious for the NY GOP, now looks as a set up for D’Amato’s Democratic friends and his lobbyists ties.
If they were in the NFL, Finkelstein & D’Amato are losing coaches and would have fired long ago.
Finklestein and D’Amato, – check Al $$$$$ donations much of it to the Dem candidates. IT’S ALL ABOUT AL AND HIS CROONIES. My e-mail mail box is cramed with likewise comments.

jim….your points are well taken…there is a cabal in
new york state..but ed cox is not part of it…finkelstein
has been around for lots of years and is connected to
al d’amato for sure..but since leaving office d’amato is
not an active republican he is simply active and is more
interested in himself than anything else…having said that
lazio should be running for the US senate…if harold ford
runs against gillibrand lazio can beat whoever comes out of
the democratic primary because the party will be fractured
and given obama’s plunging poll numbers lazio would be
a natural to run..but not for governor..he looses that
race 60-40
RE: OLD RIGHT TO LIFE PARTY….D’Amato sent my self and George Marlin to Rockland County to hold up their convention & lunch hour, while all tried to convince Dennis Vacco to take the line.
P.S. Vacco admits to this very day that he should have never listen to the only fools who told him not to take it Finkelstein and Mahony. Margin of Victory for Vaccine was on the RTL line.
Further D’Amato averaged 275,000 votes on Right to Life line and margin of Victory in both winning elections where on that line.

Fact is Vacco would have been AG, Spitzer would have never happened. All EXPERTS now agree Vacco should have taken the Right To Life line.
A nobody recieved over 230,000 votes as AG for the RTL Party that night. Vacco lost by about 28,000 votes.
Obtaining the words from the Brown website (Another pro-abort state mind you) had RTLer’s vote for Brown. Read it
