Harry Wilson, a former hedge-manager from Scarsdale, Westchester County, is quietly preparing for a potential run for state comptroller, recently bringing on Christina Comer, a Saratoga-based GOP fundraiser, to help his campaign.

Wilson recently hired Comer, who handled fundraising for Republican Robert Astorino’s county executive successful campaign last November and has done fundraising for former statewide candidate John Faso and Rudy Giuliani.

Wilson, who served on President Obama’s auto task force, has avoided talking publicly about his potential candidacy, but has been meeting with top state GOP officials in recent months.

He’s speaking Sunday—along with Erie County Executive Chris Collins, U.S. Senate candidate Bruce Blakeman and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks—at the 43rd Annual Conservative Party Political Action Conference in Albany.
