So you’ll have Rick Lazio, who last won an election in 1998, as the candidate for governor.

Joe DioGuardi, who last won an election in 1986, wants to run for U.S. Senate.

Is there any chance former 1970s Republican Congressman Bruce Caputo of Westchester and a small part of the Bronx, can run against Schumer or for Attorney General?

To complete the NY GOP’s intergenerational dream ticket, is there a NY Republican who was last elected in the 1960s and who is still alive, who can run as well?

Probably the only one down there, were he elected, who actually knows how money works. That said, Gillibrand is so vulnerable, the Republicans must think hard and true about who will run successfully against her

if dioguardi runs for the senate I will personally
oppose his candidacy for many reasons the least
of which is his aboniable performance in his last
congressional loss
