Cuomo: “I Will Announce My Plans At The Appropriate Time”

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Feb 26, 2010

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo will now, if and when he runs for governor, avoid a bitter primary battle with Gov. David Paterson and may avoid a Democratic primary altogether if Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy or other Democuomo3crat doesn’t challenge him.

Cuomo put out a statement this afternoon saying “I am sure this is a difficult choice and a sad day for the governor and his family.  It is in the best interests of all New Yorkers that the state government function through this difficult time and address the pressing budgetary problems we face.”

As for his own timeframe on his announcement?

” This is an election year and I will announce my plans at the appropriate time.  In the meantime, I will continue to focus on my job as Attorney General and the many important issues we are pursuing.?

best man for the job, andrew cuomo seems to understand
the need to balance business interests, legal, and financial, interests to the benefit of the citizens of ny state. a cool head that leads in troubled times, that is
what is needed now, not reckless budgeting cuts, and poorly
conceived statements of “trouble” in goverment.

Give me a break, the best man for the job? Andrew Cuomo has never done a thing in his life to prepare himself to be the Governor of New York. His stint at HUD resulted in more fraud and more give always to illegal immigrants than can ever be repaid. He does nothing as AG but issue press releases about the hard work of others, for gosh sakes the man wasn’t even a practicing attorney when he ran for AG.

He will bring his socialist agenda to the state and will actually be worse (if that can even be imagined) then dada Cuomo.

Reckless budget cuts? Does that mean that during the worst recession since 1929 you ONLY want 5% raises for no show jobs when the public finds themselves laid off and business owners are forced to close their businesses?

Government IS TROUBLE, by definition. The less we have the better we’ll be. You sound like Karl Marx, except that Karl Marx did not have the last 100 years of history to prove what an ass Karl Marx was. I’d bet even Karl Marx would have turned away from communism.

Apparently not Andrew “Freddo” Cuomo and his wing-nut friends who care only about how much they can rob from the American taxpayer. Please go live in Cuba and take your Acorn and SEIU loon friends with you.

“A COOL HEAD” not true..andrew has a reputation for
arrogance and brashness..he is hardly a cool head..
the cuomo’s are part of the new york city liberal
establishement that is in lockstep with the views
of the left of the democratic party and the unionists
who believe that working for governemnent is the
equivalent of an entitlement befefit and that cutting
benefits for public union workers who are now doing
better than those in the private sector both in terms
of salary, job security and pension and health benefits
is off the table …cuomo would be a disaster for the
state..it would fly in the face of every signal sent
by voters in this nation in recent months..that its
time to stop spending and time to stop wasting
precious taxpayer dollars…cuomo may be a better
democratic candidate for the democratic party faithful
but once his record or lack thereof is examined in
the light of day, republicans should easily be able
    to beat him

Indeed. He’s proven himself to be a mini-Spitzer except that he prostitutes himself over a gullible public body while shod in both socks AND combat boots during the act. The (somehow forgotten) cynical tragedy of HUD was not just a Paul Newman movie.

Don’t leave your day job until you have finished all the investigation, and then still don’t leave your day job

“Defender of the Faith” Cuomo needs to return most of the 18 Million Dollars he has raised so far or give it to groups that will use it to build Homeless Housing.

He does not need all that money and why he is still raising money ?

He is a shoe in for re-election as “Defender of the Faith” and should he make the foolish error and run for “Lord” of the Empire State he does not need all that money.

The consultant said it best. The Consultant is right on, in his assessment of this arrogant man.During his HUD years he attacked every municipality. Voters Please recognize him for what he is. Worse then his father is an understatement.
The Republicans have a great chance, so don’t blow it!!!!
