Several town supervisors endorse Murphy
Several of her fellow supervisors came to Somers this morning to endorse Republican Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy in her run for state Senate. Murphy, who has led Somers for 12 years, is running to replace state Sen. Vincent Leibell, R-Patterson. She and Assemblyman Greg Ball, R-Patterson, will face off in a GOP primary in September in that race. 
Six town supervisors from Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties announced their endorsements of Murphy. Four of them — Kent Supervisor Kathy Doherty, North Salem Supervisor Warren Lucas, Patterson Supervisor Michael Griffin and Pine Plains Supervisor Gregg Pulver — joined her in Somers. Two — Lee Roberts of Bedford and Gary Warshauer of Pound Ridge — were unable to attend.
They all praised Murphy’s concerns for her constituents.
“I think more importantly we need a candidate that can produce, not just polarize,” Griffin said.
Ball is in his second term as an assemblyman. He dismissed Murphy’s endorsements, adding that he has much support in all those towns.

BRAVO ! Go Marybeth Murphy !
Ball’s already running for statewide office, probably U.S. Senator in six years. He’s putting together a network with all his charming lies and hardly paying any attention to the local Senate race. I expect he thinks he has a lock and doesn’t need to do anything.
But here he is again woman-bashing, diminishing the accomplishments of a wonderful, talented, and brilliant woman who can run circles around Greg Ball a hundred times.
Ball has always diminished women in person, on his staff, in the press, in public, by saying inappropriate things, stalking and even groping them.
Now, unfortunately this is not surprising behavior for a NY politician, but it is surprising for a former Air Force Officer who is supposed to act with honor, and a self proclaimed reformer who wants to change things in Albany.
I think its clear Greg is a liar and can not be trusted, ever. Dump the creep.
Another Leibell-arranged stunt. It gets old after a while guys, as does all the “Ball is anti-female” and “Women against Ball” foolishness. Come to terms with it. Leibell’s days are over. I know he’s trying to lay low during this federal investigation, hoping it just passes him by, and this would account for the fact that he has been absolutely MISSING IN ACTION this entire campaign season. Not just him personally but his entire campaign. Nowhere to be found. Terrified beyond belief about this FBI investigation and grand jury listening to his shenanigans. It’s obvious what he;’s trying to do but as the Feds have pointed out recently, it’s too late to lay low and do nothing. All the paperwork leads in one direction. Leibell has tried to set himself up for the future with these no-for-profits, which is the reason why he’s propped up useless puppets Borkowski (“GEE PUT ME IN COACH!! PUT ME IN COACH!! PUT ME IN COACH!!) and Mary Beth Murphy (“I never raised taxes except for when I did raise taxes”). Leibell needs those juicy member items to keep coming down the Hudson Valley Trust sinkhole and the Putnam Community Foundation bottomless well, so he sponsors two useless puppets who will do as ordered and keep those member items coming his way.
What they should do is start finding out who has been called to testify at this grand jury thus far. Then they’ll know how much trouble they are in. And the fact that Mangone is spilling the beans?? OUCH!!
Why does everyone try to tie Mangone to Leibell? Isn’t he married to Ginny Nacerino’s son?
If I were Leibell I would lay low also, when you are miles ahead in the race and your opponent has no money, no public relations and is depressed for the mistakes she made.
Why bring light to yourself when everyone you talk with says the race was over before it started. Leibell’s opponent is a novive and an unknown, so unknown I forgot her name.
This story is about Marybeth and her strong support by fellow Supervisors. It is clear that they would have an even handed, decent person like Marybeth then the teenage acting Greg Ball who can be found around town doing shots with young man and woman in bars. Ball has not grown up yet and is not ready to serve in this high capacity.
It’s NOT about Mary Beth Murphy and her “strong support”. It’s about the Leibell camp arranging this AGAINST Ball. They were told to be there for this stunt. Half the supervisors in attendance can’t even think for themselves.
You guys are REALLY going to have to come to terms with the fact that Greg Ball’s time has come and he is now the strongest politician in Putnam County. The grand jury is going to clear out the garbage, and it’s about time. We in Putnam couldn’t take much more of this anymore.
There isn’t any strategy here. It’s called BEING TERRIFIED. Leibell never used to miss events, now he’s nowhere to be found. NOWHERE. Not him nor his campaign. They’re laying low hoping this federal investigation goes over their heads but sorry, that’s not going to happen. It’s not just the subpoenas that have been delivered but the people who’ve been called to give statements. I’ve heard of at least five. This investigation is going to be completed before September, Greg Ball will be on top, and Mary Ellen Odell will be the new County Executive.
Hey Geez, I know it’s painful to speak about this, but the criminal investigation is focused squarely on YOUR guy. There is a GRAND JURY listening to evidence. This isn’t a run of the mill occurrence, and Vinny knows it and that’s why he disappeared. Bye bye!!
Greg Ball is a joke. An empty promises blowhard who changes with the wind and has accomplished nothing.
Even his staff is incompetent. They continue to call me, a Democrat, who has consistantly asked, then demanded, to be taken off his call list. This has been going on for years now. I have no intention of ever voting for him. STOP CALLING ME.
Get rid of Greg Ball – anyone is better than him
It’s funny how Leibell is blamed for everything that comes out against Ball.
I guess Ball will try to blame Leibell for everything he has ever been accused of:
Ball accussed of stalking women
Ball accussed of gropping women
Ball accussed of stealing money from kids
Ball says he was molested as a child, I am surprised he hasn’t tried to blame Leibell for that one yet.
Ball says dead goat found by his home.
Ball says his office was ransacked.
Ball female staff member accussed Ball of using strong sexual comments against her causing her to resign.
And I could go on and on!
Here is one thing Ball is never accussed of, “telling the truth”
Its Funny Poster wrote some really strong comments on Balls behavior. If these are true, then it shows a serious problem and usually these behaviors manifest through childhood. Maybe Ball thinks his behavior is normal. Let’s elect someone else and give Ball a chance to relax.
You forgot dishonorably discharged from the Air Force. But as usual, just like they actually made up a phony sexual harassment claim (which is sick behavior) the few, small minded, unaccomplished Ball-haters continue to invent phony allegations as part of an orchestrated smear campaign to deflect attention from the pending FBI and State AG investigations.
The reason Ball is like Teflon is because none of these allegations are true. That’s why they don’t stick. Another one of their made up hyperboles was summarily dismissed this week:

The Commission dismissed three allegations in connection with Ball4NY, its treasurer, and Greg Ball, and it sent a letter of caution to the respondents. Focus on the issues. No one out there other than Greg Ball has the guts and courage to fight for us, the people. He’s not popular among other legislators because they all have an agenda, THEMSELVES. Greg has no personal agenda and is the only GENUINE candidate amidst a sea of Charlie Rangel’s and the like. I used to live in Somers and thank God I’m out because of what Mary Beth FAILED TO DO. Greg can fix all of that. The people think so and that’s all that matters. Isn’t it obvious that all the fabricated rumors and gossip are intended to discredit him because Murphy and Leibell have no backbone? If they did they wouldn’t be fighting the Coke vs. Pepsi war. Don’t try to get ahead by knocking down your opponent….show how good you really are on your own merits. Neither Murphy nor Leibell are able to do that. You can’t profess to be a genius when your IQ is under 90. You can only pretend to a point, then when it’s time to get serious you come up empty. That’s what happened in the last two presidential campaigns….and look at the shape this country is in now. You want things to get better rather than worse, two short words for you: GREG BALL.
You also forgot to add the order of protection that never existed. These sore losers need to wake up and realize their hero is under an FBI microscope from which he’s not emerging. The Feds are going through years of shenanigans committed by this guy. I’d rather have my name on that dopey list you concocted than to have the FBI going after me the way they’ve been.
