Abinanti picks up environmental endorsement
Westchetser County Legislator Tom Abinanti, a Democrat running for the state’s 92nd Assembly district, picked up an endorsement from the New York League of Conservation Voters.
“The NYLCV speaks for so many environmental groups who well understand what has to be done to keep our air breathable, our water drinkable, and the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley safe and enjoyable for future generations,” Abinanti said in a statement. “Being able to work with them is a privilege.”
A non-partisan organization, the league has worked for 20 years to make environmental protection and sustainability top political priorities in New York State. It recently announced its endorsement for candidates.
“More than ever, Albany needs leaders who understand that environmental sustainability isn’t a luxury – it is the way forward to a healthier, stronger New York,” said Marcia Bystryn, president of the New York League of Conservation Voters. “Tom has proven his commitment to clean air, healthy drinking water and renewable energy on the county level, and we look forward to working with him in Albany to achieve the breakthroughs New York desperately needs.”
