Endorsements for Ball
State Assemblyman Greg Ball announced the following endorsements yesterday in his run for state Senate. He faces Somers Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy in this month’s GOP primary for the 40th state Senate District. She also picked up an endorsement yesterday.
For Ball, it was a mixture of community groups and larger organizations, some of which he had already touted in press releases earlier this summer.
Ball’s campaign announced the official endorsements of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, as well as the Putnam County Fish & Game Political Action Committee. Ball’s campaign also unveiled the endorsement of Westchester-Putnam Right To Life Committee, Northern Westchester Rifle Association, Deer and Elk Farmers of New York, Westchester Bowhunters Association, and the National Rifle Association.

Yesterday I received a mailer from Greg Ball stating that he thinks it would be good to “Register all illegal Aliens to Begin Paying Taxes”. That is an exact quote taking off the mailer. Here is the question I have for Ball, what ever happened to the “Send them all back to where they came from, they are illegal”?
One of Ball’s most used slogans in years past has been “Illegal is Illegal” and that slogan was meant to say if you are here illegally then you are illegal and you need to be arrested and deported immediately. That was and is the bases of Greg Ball’s position., in fact when a former Mayor from Brewster wanted to give ID’s to the illegal’s Ball said that the Mayor is trying to create a sanctuary village by giving the illegal’s credentials. When Gov. Spitzer wanted to give the illegals licenses, Ball opposed it saying the same thing.
Now Greg Ball is becoming a liberal with the illegals, he now is saying we should register them (get them ID’ed) and make them pay taxes. I guess Ball no longer thinks we should send them all back to where they came from. Ball now thinks we should ID them and put them to work and make them pay taxes. Greg Ball obviously has softened his position with the illegals and now is saying we should register them and tax them. The new and improved Greg Ball?

John makes a good point, it appears Assemblyman Greg Ball is shifting his anti-illegal’s position and is softening up.
however ball’s position is now correct.no one is sending
14 million people back to wherever they came from
and assuming they are gainfully employed paying their
fair share of taxes will help out in dealing with the
financial crisis..small businesses employ these laborers
and they do task that american workers very often
refuse to do..particularly in the south and west..
illegal may be illegal..but why should they earn money
and not be taxes..that’s irrational
I agree with Ball’s position, if they are working they should pay taxes, however Ball is trying to take both sides in this discussion. First he says, send them all back and now he says register them and make them pay taxes. Ball has clearly changed his position on illegal immigration. Ball appears to be a new man. How will his upportyer feel on Ball’s change of heart?
Got a mailer and it had a picture of Ball and I think, his parents about selling their house because of high taxes. This picture I remember seeing a couple of years ago, so Ball must be into using older info.
Still getting the robo calls that get quickly ended. Should not be alowed to harass people with these calls.
We need a new face in Albany,,getting so tired of the same old stuff from Ball.
I agree Ball is outlasting himself, he is all over the place but never stays focus on the mission at hand, it would be nice if he could get things done instead of holding press conferences and rallie, we need productitivity, not talk and no action.
You are right on Kenny. Ball is all over the place…but lets think about this. He is looking to get votes so he will preach what people want to hear. Does not matter where he stands on an issue…Balls issues are those that gain votes and nothing more.
Unfortunately I have seen this show before, most people are unaware of the games Ball plays and getting that message out to people is hard. Ball has extremist money behind him and he always finds a new sucker with cash to help him.
Ball isn’t “outlasting” himself. He’s simply dealing with the reality that 14 million people are not getting sent back. That first priority notwithstanding, they should at a minimum be paying taxes for their pay that they already receive, since a good portion of these dollars DO NOT get spent on our economy but rather get shipped back to Guatemala. Why do you think there are “Money Envios” places all over the Village of Brewster? Because there’s plenty of business for it, that’s why. And what happens when these dollars get taken out of circulation like that? Our economy weakens substantially. So Ball’s idea prevents at least some of that.
Ball hasn’t changed anything. His last Ball / Katz mailer outlined his plan to “send them all back”. He just says whatever he wants to the groups that he thinks will find it the most appealing. He has no original thought and will say or do anything.
I will agree with BS, Ball continues to play to the audience in front of him or the hot topic of the day. In the end, one must ask themselves, ‘What has Ball accomplished, besides garnering press for himself?” I only wish people could see through all of Ball’s lies and BS, he really is a fraud.
Why haven’t we heard more about how Greg Ball was molested as a child in his own home as he stated?
Wasn’t it said first that it was a family member then the resaid as a friend of the family??
